Seasonal DIY Burlap Wreath

Every time I walked through my front door I was bored. I wanted to spice up my entry way but every wreath I found just wasn't 'me'. It's so obvious ... DIY! I didn't want to spend a lot of money in case it didn't hold up and I wasn't sure how long it was going to stay there.

I found a great tutorial for a DIY burlap wreath here. It was easy to follow the directions and didn't take anytime at all. Thank you Craftaholics Anonymous! I found a few flowers from the local craft store. I bought a simple metal S for our last name from an Etsy store (sorry! I can't seem to find it anymore but it was only $6). Tada! I get so many compliments and it really brightens the entry way.

Now, I have had the wreath up for about 6 months and I'm getting that bored feeling again. What a great time to make a new wreath. As I started thinking how much I love the wreath I already have and where am I going to store my other wreath it dawned on me that the wreath just needed a seasonal freshening up. So I 'spring-ified' it! I simply replaced the flowers with a burlap egg nest and made a big bow to match.

DIY Spring Burlap Wreath

I still kept my old flowers to replace them again when spring is over. However, I think I'll be making a summer wreath, fall wreath, winter wreath and a special occasion wreaths as well. I'll make sure to update the post with my new looks!
